A wonderful night aboard the Odyssey.
Posted 8/31/2010 11:13:00 AM
We are so lucky here in Boston. We live on the ocean. Nothing capitalizes more on the gorgeous views of Boston Harbor than a trip on the Odyssey. They combine everything, wonderful food, awesome entertainment, dancing, ambiance and all while sailing around the historic Boston Harbor. I was lucky enough to take a group of listeners on a Dinner cruise the other night. 4 lovely, lovely couples. I got a chance to show off my new black sequined dress. In fact, everyone dresses so beautifully. We all enjoyed the amazing food.. I had the Chicken.. it was perfect. But really the best part was the fresh fruit cobbler with vanilla ice cream... ahhhhhh so good. From time to time different couples would head up onto a higher deck to enjoy the warm breeze.. and the lights of Boston. While we were on the ship.. the very talented singer announced 3 ...
7th Annual NE Country Music Festival

Whoa...another Summer...and another spectacular day/night of country music...and interesting people who came to watch and listen. :)
OK, so Kenny wasn't there, but the day was very reminiscent of the previous six shows, (yea, I know, Toby's show was the first). Fun, sun, (and clouds to help cool things off too), and a few beverages were downed as New England embraced another day long chance to be near some of their favorite singers. Easton Corbin, Darius Rucket, Sara Evans, Jason Aldean, and Brad Paisley sang their hearts out on the Gillette stadium stage, and the audience was right there with them word for word, and beat for beat. It was Brad's first stadium show, and we're sure one he will never forget. You could tell he was psyched for the night even before it started as he was posting pictures of the stage on Twitter...the night before!

I want to meet YOU! I am out and about this week... and that means I have several opportunities to meet you! Listen, I am very lucky to sit across from a very handsome man named JW. He is adorable! Hank is very easy on the eyes too!. But I love to get out of the studio and meet you .. the folks who are listening. It's a reminder of why we are here.. I love to hear what YOU think about the music, the artists, the Brain Strain. So I have a couple different opportunities for us to meet. Tonight, I'll be at the Sylvan Street Grille in Peabody from 7-9. Friday, I'll be at the Bolton State Fair from 2-4. Then Friday night I'll be at the Brooks and Dunn show at the Comcast Center. How about Sunday, I'll be kicking off the very first Country night at ...
Milan Lucic's Rock N Jock Softball Game
Posted 8/3/2010 8:30:00 AM
Coming up this Thursday night, (Aug.5), Boston Bruins winger Milan Lucic is trading in his hockey stick for a softball bat. He'll be partnering with NMTW Community Credit Union in a charity softball game at LeLacheur Park to benefit Celebrities for Charity Foundation (CFC) and Health and Education Services, Inc.
C'mon out and enjoy an evening of...um, "entertaining" softball. :). It starts at 7:00 and will pit current and former pro athletes against local radio and TV personalities. Plus members of some local Boston-based bands. Look for Milan, Shawn Thornton, Tim Thomas, and Ray Bourque to name a few for the jocks. And, for the "Rocks" our very own Lori Grande, Hank Morse, and me, JW!
So, make a night of it and have fun watching some great sports playing for a great cause. This Thursday beginning at 7:00. Tickets are available at any NMTW location in Lowell, Haverhill, Danvers ...
Festival 2010

Without a doubt, our favorite day of the year at Country 102.5 - FESTIVAL DAY! This being our 17th one was no exception. Nearly 20,000 of our closest friends, together. celebrating all that is good in the world through country music. From the parking lot tailgating, the sounds of new, raw talent on the side stage, through the vendors selling their goodies...and the artist interviews, all the way to the performances on stage - we manage to squeeze in about 12 hours of non-stop fun.
OK, so it was a bit on the warm side, but some shade and a nice breeze did manage to waft its way through the Comcast Center from time to time. It was good to see so many of our listeners...dancing, smiling...even just relaxing and soaking up the fun all around us. You guys are just nice folks to be around!
