Second Parish in Hingham
Ball in the House, a popular contemporary vocal group that takes a cappella to the highest level, will be performing at Second Parish Church, 685 Main Street, Route 228, Hingham on Saturday, May 8th at 3 p.m.    The all-male, Boston-based quintet has astounded audiences of all ages on its national tours, creating distinctive pop and R&B harmonies with its unique use of vocal drums/beatbox and vocal bass.   Tickets to hear the group – winner of the 2009 Best of Boston Award for musical entertainers – are available online now at brownpapertickets.com and at the Second Parish Art Show, 685 Main Street, Route 228, Hingham, starting May 5th.   Advance sale tickets, $15; at the door, $20. A wine-and-cheese reception will follow the performance in conjunction with the church art show. All are welcome. The concert is supported in part by the Hingham Cultural Council. The Massachusetts Department of Public Health (MDPH) wants you to know that with screening, early detection and treatment, colon cancer can be highly preventable, treatable and beatable. MDPH advises that you take action! Speak with your healthcare provider now to find out which colon cancer screening test is right for you. During March, Colon Cancer Screening Month, MDPH is sponsoring a statewide, multi-faceted public awareness campaign to make sure Massachusetts residents know that: •Screening for colon cancer screening now is the key to prevention and wellness •Everyone 50 or older- men and women-should be screened •Screening can find cancer before there are symptoms-that’s why early screening is so important •You should talk to your health care provider now about scheduling a colon cancer screening •Most health insurance plans cover colon cancer screening procedures including Medicare and Medicaid.

Country Cares for St. Jude


Country Cares for St. Jude Children's Research Hospital is an annual Radiothon dedicated to raised funds and awareness for St. Jude. St. Jude is the world's foremost pediatric cancer research center, shares its findings globally, so children everywhere can benefit. Plus, no family ever pays St. Jude for medical treatment. All treatment, travel, accommodations and meals are supported by millions of people just like you, people who care.
Country 102.5's Annual Country Cares For St. Jude Kids Radiothon was held at Jordan's Furniture in Reading on Thursday, March 11th and Friday, March 12th!
