The American Red Cross has issued an appeal for blood donors of all types!

Across the United States, a blood transfusion is needed nearly every two seconds.  In fact, every day, there are thousands of patients in hospitals who rely on generous volunteer blood donors so they can receive the treatment they need.  However, the summertime tends to be a time when donations drop due to travel, planned activities, and the absence of high school and college blood drives.

The American Red Cross needs your help.  Please come out and give the gift of life.  Donated blood is used to help accident victims, trauma patients, transplant recipients, and those receiving treatment for life-threatening illnesses.  It is the blood on the shelves today that saves lives tomorrow.

Please join Country 102.5 at the Lowell Spinners Blood Drive and help make a difference.  Eligible donors of all blood types are asked to donate blood Thursday, August 2nd from 12-7pm at the Tsongas Center in Lowell for the 2nd Annual Lowell Spinner Blood Drive.   Lori Grande will be on-hand from 12-2 - be sure to stop by and say hello!

The first 300 presenting donors will receive a free pair of tickets to a Lowell Spinners game, a free pass to Six Flags New England and a free ticket to UMASS Lowell Riverhawk hockey game.  Plus, enter to win raffle prizes, giveaways and more.

You can book your appointment now, simply CLICK HERE  and we'll see you on August 2nd!
